About Me

Integrative Counsellor

How counselling works

There are many schools of therapeutic thought. I have an advanced diploma in Integrative counselling, this means I use a set of cohesive theories from multiple schools of thought. We work together, using the relationship between counsellor and client as the platform for insight and healing. This integral approach allows us to work with all aspects of who you are. It acknowledges the importance of you as a person, the relationship we create together and the context in which we meet. Healing can take place at either the cognitive level (Mind), emotional level (Body), or the transpersonal level (Spirit).

Is it right for me?

Counselling, also known as the talking cure, has been shown to be effective for a variety of issues such as depression, bereavement, stress, anxiety, phobias, eating disorders, addiction and relationship problems. Therapy can help address your symptoms and also work on the underlying causes, helping to improve your life and situation. If you are unsure if counselling is right for you the BACP website contains a wealth of information. Alternatively, please feel free to call me and we can talk through your needs.
